To be honest, I haven't invested a lot of money int0 camera equipment given how good smartphone cameras have become for casual, everyday use. I'm more interested in capturing the memory and context of the moment as opposed to displaying a professional photo gallery. For that reason, most of the photos here will be of that caliber, at least for now. Perhaps this will provide the incentive to curate something more polished in the future.
That being said, here are some of my captured moments that bring back fond memories.
August, 2021 Despite smokey conditions from wildfires in the US Northwest the summer of 2021, my family and I enjoyed a wonderful trip to Whitefish, MT and Glacier National Park. Photo Collection here.
March, 2019 After a cold and snowy winter, a spring beach view was just what the family needed. Thanks Cancun! Photo collection here.
An island paradise for sure, but not how you are imagining. Fresh, clean, open, stark, breathtaking.....it's easy to run out of adjectives when describing Iceland. A nordic treasure to enjoy and respect. My diary styled Photo collection here.
What can you say about Paris that hasn’t been said 1,000 times before? Is it beautiful? Very. Does it have a lot to offer? Yes. Would I go back again? More times than could be counted.
In short, my wife and I's visit to Paris was spectacular. The sites, museums, monuments, architecture, food, people - all fantastic. 10 days turned out to be the perfect length of time. Long enough to get a true flavor of the city, and short enough to not feel too guilty about leaving the kids behind! My diary styled Photo collection here.
Every summer my wife and I load up the SUV with luggage and kids, and meet up with her side of the family for a vacation. Having picked the destination the year before, 3 generations meet to see the sites, relax and catch up.
As often as we can, two college buddies and I pick a destination to spend a long weekend to hangout and watch a game or series. Baseball, football, it doesn’t matter. It's just a great time to not only become absorbed in a sport we love, but to explore the city and take in experiences we wouldn't normally have the time to enjoy. Relax and recharge. No better way to do that than with great friends and sports. And beer.
Below are a few photos from our latest trip to the Baltimore/Washington DC area late summer, 2021.

Whether it's the color, composition or memory associated with them, below are photos and videos that just make me smile. Almost all were taken/shot with whatever my current smartphone was at the time. As I look back through these though, I begin to realize it's less about trying to remember how I felt back when I captured them, rather what I feel right now when seeing them again.
